preparing bone broth

Bone broth is VERY easy to make and is full of nutrients. You can drink it straight or use it in soups, stews and anywhere a recipe calls for chicken stock.

It is EASY to digest. It rejuvenates and nourishes. It is full of nutrients and builds good blood. Strong, healthy blood improves digestion. And good digestion leads to a strong/healthy body.

Bone broth is anti inflammatory and immune building. This is excellent to drink during the cold months when everyone is prone to sickness.

This healing broth also supports our bones and bone tissue which means stronger hair, skin and nails.

I use mine over the course of the week and then freeze anything unused in silicone molds to have whenever I need them later.

Bone Broth Instructions:

Ingredients:

  • Bones from organic chicken or beef…I use leftover bones from dinner.

  • 2 organic carrots

  • 2 organic celery sticks

  • 1 medium onion

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1/2-1 tsp. salt depending on how many bones and how much water is in the pot

  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • water to cover bones and vegetables fully

Instructions:

  1. Place bones into instapot or crockpot

  2. Add washed vegetables. you can cut the vegetables in half to fit better into your cooking vessel

  3. Cover fully with water. You should have everything fully covered and a few inches above the vegetables and bones

  4. Add salt, peppercorn, apple cider vinegar

  5. Cover with lid and cook 2 hours in instapot and about 24 hours in crockpot

** Once the broth is finished, let it cool off. Then pour into glass mason jars and store for up to 1 week.

** After a week, you can freeze the cubes in silicone molds to have in the freezer anytime you want to use in a recipe or drink it.
